Work out what QA admin is costing you
The same tasks, timed twice. What they take on spreadsheets, email and a shared drive, against what they take in CivilPro. Change the numbers to yours — halve every saving, see if it still stacks up.
How to read the result
It's an estimate, not a measurement
There is no published time-and-motion study of Australian civil QA work, with or without a system. The direction is well founded; treat any single figure as arguable and put your own numbers in the left column.
The two panels don't add up
Deliberately. The first is the time the paperwork takes every week, whether or not anything goes wrong. The second is what it costs you when something does. Adding a running cost to a one-off cost would overstate the case.
The defaults are conservative
The starting hours sit well below the ANZ industry benchmark they're drawn from. If the output still looks large, that's the reason — not an aggressive assumption.
Sources are listed in full inside the calculator, under "Method, sources and limits" — including what it deliberately leaves out.
